Meet the new additions to the Applied Digital team

After a busy 2021, when we marked our 22nd year of business, we’re starting the New Year with some fantastic new additions to our team, all of whom joined us in the past few months.

The world of digital marketing never stands still, nor do the needs of our clients, which is why the latest arrivals at Applied were chosen to enhance our existing team of experts, and to bring you a class leading level of service.

Everything we do is driven by the need to deliver tangible creative digital results for your business, and our latest investment in new people is part of our ambition to deliver a class-leading digital marketing experience. 

Here’s a quick intro to the latest additions to the Applied family

 

Richard Hatfield, Marketing Strategist 

An award-winning digital director, Richard brings a wealth of experience gained from delivering success in a range of ecommerce and marketing roles, including Director at Coggles.com, and  being founder/director at a handful of successful digital marketing agencies.. With a background in both traditional retail and e-commerce, Richard has helped companies of all shapes and sizes to develop and grow sustainably and profitably through strategic tactical multi-channel marketing campaigns. Richard’s professional licence and accreditations include Google Conversion Rate Optimisation course, Google Ads Search Certification and Google Adwords Certification - Shopping Advertising.

 

Tom Warman, Head of Content

With a background in journalism and advertising, Tom has over 30 years commercial writing experience gained in private and third sector companies and organisations, including Head of Copy at Work Communications, and Marketing & Comms Director roles for Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, and international outdoor arts organisation Walk the Plank where he played a key role developing their online presence to attract audiences, artists and producers.. From his previous agency work he has created high impact campaigns for United Utilities, The Environment Agency and M&S Financial Services and won two CREAM awards for recruitment advertising campaigns devised for Cadburys and McCain Foods. 

 

Jacob Clayton, Designer 

An aspiring graphic designer with a degree in Interactive Media Design, Jacob has nearly 2 years’ experience in graphic user interface and user experience design gained from his role as a junior graphic designer at Branded Agency, and work experience as UI/UX designer at Sainsbury’s and Pitchero.  At Branded Agency he helped create responsive websites for Yorpower and City Wide Health.  Jacob has a real passion for branding, web design and animation for both new and existing brands and has successfully created beautiful designs that deliver exciting user experiences.  He won a best packaging design award for clothing brand Joules during work experience at their HQ.
